These oil paintings on archival art paper are the life blood for all of her original oils and mixed media on canvas. Every painting Barbara ever thought about started as a work on art paper. Some quicker than others but all have the same energy and vibration in them. All are painted with a palette knife on 300lb. d'Arches paper. The paper is coated with a polymer coating before painting. She has chosen two different frames for them. The representational and abstracts painted with lots of color are presented in a gold frame with linen liner. The black and white abstracts are framed in the same style of frame but the finish is sliver. Enhancing the richness of the black and white. The frames are shown below with a sketch in them to show how they look. Barbara hoped you would love them as much as she did. Thank you for stopping by.
